Lab initiatives

“JIGYASA” is one of the major initiatives taken up by CSIR at national level for further widening and deepening its Scientific Social Responsibility (SSR). Our lab actively participates in technology demonstrations to students, scientists, and industry professionals, as a part of this program.

Chennai

Accompanied by Dr. Sumeet Saurav, our team, comprising Naval Kishore Mehta, Himanshu Kumar, and Abeer Banerjee, visited the KH Group’s leather factory. During our visit, we presented a demonstration of hand-segmentation technology for worker safety, engaged in data collection, and enjoyed exploring the surrounding areas.

Kuala Lumpur

Our team member, Abeer Banerjee, went to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to present our research on lensless image reconstruction at the International Conference on Image Processing, 2023.

Nagasaki

Dr. Sanjay Singh and Seema Choudhary went to the Nagasaki University in Japan as a part of the JST-Sakura Science Programme, 2022.

Hiroshima

Dr. Sanjay Singh, Dr. Sumeet Saurav, along with team members Shyam Sunder Prasad and Naval Kishore Mehta, made a visit to Hiroshima University in Japan.
